So it's been over four years since shutting down my website for Maggie's Studio which was up and running for many, many years. I never stopped painting, but I took a step back from the marketing and promotional side of the art world. Thanks to my longtime clients' word of mouth, and representation by exceptional galleries, I never stopped selling either.
"MShively Art" is the new version of "Maggie's Studio." (I think there's a Maggie's Studio website out there, but it's not me!)
My focus this time is a bit different. Of course, I always want to sell my work, but now I have another goal. I want to organize and gather my work and my art instruction experiences into one place. I want to remind myself, and others, of the extensive body of work an artist can produce over a lifetime of creating and teaching art.
As I continue to create, I am always looking for new techniques and subjects. This website will allow me to show that as well.
I am 68 years old. I have been painting, drawing, creating and teaching art all of my life. I have been a professional artist for over 40 years. It's time for me to look back as I move forward.
Congratulations, Maggie! I love your art and will follow your blog. (Cute cat picture above) Wish I lived in Evansville so I could come to one of your art classes. Maybe you will come to San Diego to do a Paint and Sip class?
Congratulations Maggie! You inspire the soul.
Congrats, Maggie! As an art lover, it will be my pleasure to follow your blog!
